01overview

this site is a showcase and storefront for kayaz. we keep data collection to a minimum and only gather what is needed to run the store, deliver your purchases and keep the site secure. by using this site you agree to the practices described here.

02what we collect

depending on how you use the site, we may handle the following:

• purchase information: when you buy through our SellAuth checkout, we receive details such as the product purchased, the order reference and the delivery status. full payment card details are handled by SellAuth and its payment providers, never by us.
• device and access identifiers: when you redeem an access code, we store a one way hash of the code together with a device identifier so the code works on the intended machine and can be revoked if misused.
• technical data: basic server logs such as ip address, browser type and pages requested, used for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.
• rating and preference data: if you rate a blog page, we store a hashed identifier so each device can only vote once.

03how we use it

• to process orders and deliver your products
• to verify access codes and tie them to a device
• to provide support when you contact us
• to protect the site against fraud, abuse and spam
• to improve the site based on how it is used

we do not sell your personal data to anyone.

04payments and SellAuth

checkout is handled by SellAuth. when you make a purchase you are interacting with their checkout, and the information you enter there (such as your email and payment method) is processed under their own privacy policy and the policies of the payment provider you choose. we only receive the information needed to fulfil your order and provide support.

05cookies

we use cookies and similar storage to keep the site working and to remember your choices. when you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept all cookies or continue with essential cookies only.

• essential: required for the site to function, such as remembering your cookie choice and keeping your session or access code working.
• analytics and preferences: help us understand how the store is used and remember your settings. these are only set if you accept them.

you can change or clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as checkout or code redemption, from working properly.

06third party services

the site uses a small number of third party services to function:

• SellAuth for checkout and payment processing
• hosting and content delivery for serving the site and its media
• embedded media and fonts for displaying images, video and typefaces

these providers may process data under their own policies. we only use what is needed to run the store and keep it secure.

07data retention

we keep purchase and access records for as long as needed to deliver your products, honour support requests and meet legal or accounting obligations. access code hashes are kept until the code is revoked or the system is retired. server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

08your rights

depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal data we hold about you
• request correction or deletion of that data
• object to or restrict certain processing
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

to exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. we will respond within a reasonable time.

09children's privacy

this site and store are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. if you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will remove it.

10changes to this policy

we may update this policy from time to time. any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
